Worst movie: xXx is the example that wishful thinking doesn't always work... ok, usually doesn't work. I knew I was going to see something that had all the exclamation marks and warning signs, something that was just screaming 'don't waste your time on me'... maybe because it was so clear I had to go see it, thinking to myself that 'no way something can be that bad'. well, it was that bad. This movie is the worst one I have seen in 2002, for one simple reason. I don't need to get into all kind of fuzzy logic arguments..."the acting was like this"... "the story was like that"... All i know is that I was wishing for at least the last 30 minutes, that the damn movie will come to an end. Yet, I got disappointed again and again when one scene was followed by another and yet by another, and not by the credits... Best: My big fat Greek wedding/Chicago: I like best being able to admit that I enjoyed most a movie that I didn't want to see in the first place. only after some emotional and physical pressure, was I convinced to see both of these movies. Movies I simply enjoyed, and remember with a smile, even months after I have seen them, are natural to be voted as 'best of 2002' by me. |
